3 July 2015

We announced the arrival of the socially-optimised Givey Share in April and as part of the Givey community, if you have live fundraisers some exciting changes are on the horizon to ensure you benefit from this!

From the 31st July, any current legacy fundraisers will be getting a refresh and will automatically convert to a Givey Share page.

What is a Givey Share and what is going to change?

Fundraisers are transforming

Below are a few pointers of what you can expect and some key questions:

  • A completely automatic switch, so you can sit back and relax, we’ll do all that for you
  • Your URL will stay the same, and when entered you will be redirected to your new share page.
  • The share pages are designed for what is says on the tin, sharing! With social media links and easy to copy web addresses, you can generate up to 3x more donations!
  • Shares are also editable, so you can change the title to let people know exactly what you have planned, why you’ve been inspired to raise money and how you’re getting on with your target!

FAQs

‘What’s the difference between a fundraiser and a share?’

  • A fundraiser is an event held to generate financial support for a charity, cause, or other enterprise. In contrast, a share is a new way to donate because of an inspiring video online or a fundraiser photo.  It’ll make fundraising a lot more engaging and you’ll be able to see who you’ve inspired to donate!

‘Can I still see how much I’ve raised?’

  • Yes; Your total will be visible on the Share page on the top right, and we’ll also show you how many people you’ve inspired!
