If there’s one thing we have learnt from Scrooge and Tiny Tim, is despite institution donations, from churches, councils and schools and many other well known sources, the biggest impact comes from the community, our neighbours and friends. You can inspire change and support causes you care about. Ultimately making a huge difference, to the Charity or Cause you are supporting.
We are told from the Dickens’s Victorian Christmas tale that sometimes even the most unlikely of donators make the biggest change. We feel relieved when Scrooge learns his lesson and saves Tiny Tim, in the same way that organisations are grateful when schools, and children in general, get involved and contribute to a good cause. Charitable giving has become very active online, it has never been easier to connect and raise money for amazing Charities and their Causes.
In today’s environment, there are many ways to make a difference. However big or small that might be. Fundraising, whatever method you choose has never been more straightforward! With charity shops on every high street, people with clipboards and banners, appealing to our attention and natural instinct – often asking for little more than the value of a bag of chips. However, it is the organisations that align with schools, running fundraising events and collections from students, that are the most recognised and very successful.
School children have been donating Christmas shoeboxes for those in need, starving and abused.
Shoe Box Appeal
The simple act of wrapping a shoe box in jolly Christmas paper, placing inside a small toy, perhaps a Christmas decoration to brighten their day and a handwritten note to say Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Schools have continued this annual festive donation because children’s imaginations are instrumental in the success of this contribution.
