It’s award season and as the BRITs were yesterday, we would love to take the time to celebrate the Music Based Charities on Givey and highlight how they create community through music and are fundraising for their good causes!

One of the favourite parts of the event however is not just the awards, but also the acts performing! Linked to the BRIT School for the Performing Arts & Technology, a place where high quality education is provided for 14-19 year olds, “performing and creative arts with their related technologies are at its core and contribute to a curriculum aimed at developing the whole person”.
Music Based Charities on Givey supporting Musical Cause
Developing students academically, vocationally, socially and morally is a core value, and there are causes on Givey offering the same encouragement in their local community through the medium of music.

Barnsley Youth Choir
Barnsley Youth Choir (BYC) are aspiring to be the “most inspirational and innovative organisation for young singers who live or study in Barnsley and immediate environs.” Creating exceptional training opportunities for young people, including performing exceptionally, empowering young people “strengthen our connection with audiences and create a flagship ensemble to represent the town on a local, national and international stage”.
Leicester Bach Choir
Similarly, the Leicester Bach Choir are 60 people strong and perform at concerts in Leicester year round, including a “Come and Sing” event which encourages others to join their forces.
