Who’s aboard and raising funds?

Since opening up internationally this year and enabling community groups to register, we’ve seen a fantastically colourful selection of projects and charities come aboard the Givey platform!

Abroad Raising Funds

We’ve put some of our favourites into the list below, all of whom have been especially active on Givey In the last month and getting up to some fantastic things in order to raise funds. Check out the hotlist for ideas and some #MondayMotivation and get yourself signed up for free!

Acorn Overseas

Acorn overseas are what we might call a hard-core Givey charity, using the platform to raise the majority on their yearly income to keep a Thai orphanage supporting their growing number of children in need. They are a truly inspirational team, headed up by the quite frankly awe-inspiring efforts of Natasha Whiting. They’ve released a brand new video about the orphanage and what it delivers for the kids that are so deeply reliant on their work – check it out here.

Ocean’s Project

Ocean's Project

Oceans Project provides free, online, environmental and STEM education to young people worldwide, including those denied access to education due to gender, poverty, or disability. Right now, they are preparing to undertake a world first solo row around Britain to raise funds and bring the ocean alive for our students. Their ambition, drive and achievements so far are truly amazing and we really encourage you to check them out on Givey here

Urban Shift

OPENhouse

OPENhouse enables young people and vulnerable individuals in the Stroud district and across Gloucestershire to discover their potential through building a community where they can live, relate, learn, work, get support and find their next step in life.

OPENhouse recently ran a ‘Rough Traders’ fundraising event through Givey, raising over £1,000! Their coverage in the local press was fantastic too.
